This exercise aims to help you identify people in your social network who are Givers, Takers, and Matchers. In doing so, you can begin to recognize positive, pro-social behaviors and create boundaries to safeguard your time, energy, and resources.

 

This exercise is not about changing the behavior of other people. Instead, it is concerned with helping you recognize that certain behaviors are related to the reciprocity styles of givers, takers, and matchers. In doing so, you may limit the time spent with individuals draining your emotional energy and instead invest more time with others who are less focused on themselves.
